Does Ballajura have a good community feel to it?

Yes and no, it depends on what part of Ballajura you are referring to and it tends to go in cycles. For the most part the community keeps to themselves but pull together fairly well at the public primary schools and community events. Never knock on someone's door after dusk though because of the continuing crime problem in the area, everyone who lives in Ballajura has gotten "properly paranoid" and will give you a frosty reception unless they know you. And because of the crime people there will always be a neighbor or three keeping an eye out on their neighbors, which is nice as long as you're on good terms with them... but again that is the same that could be said for many other suburbs. Call me jaded since I've been in this suburb for 21 years, but I wouldn't still be living here if I didn't get on well (or amicably) with my immediate neighbors and get mostly friendly service from the local businesses of Ballajura/Malaga.
