"A great small community with everything you need for day to day living!"

We have lived in Brandon for the past 15 years and Love it! Brandon is a quiet safe town to bring up the kids you dont have to worry who is walking the streets as everyone is locals. There is a local pub with a drive thru they serve great meals and take away pizza's. There is a convenience shop that sells breakfast lunch and dinner fish and chips and your everyday house hold supplies. There is also a Post Office with a gift shop. Brandon also has a great kids park with a basketball court and public toilets. Ayr is a five minute drive away and townsville is 45minutes away. There is a great public school which was just named one of the best schools in queensland. Great fishing spots and plenty of areas to ride your motorbikes. If we ever upgrade our home we will be rebuilding here in Brandon!

"A quiet town only a few kms from most amenities"

Brandon is only a 5 minute drive from Ayr which contains all the major banks, grocery stores, Target etc. and professional services. Not far to Townsville (just under an hour) and a 20 minute drive to nice beaches and wilderness areas. Laid back and relaxed place for families or great for retirees.

"Dying Town"

Bruce Highway goes right through the town as well as the north coast railway line with freight trains, Australia Post doesn't deliver the mail (you have to pick it up at the post office).

Absolutely no bushland anywhere in the entire region. it's either sugar cane, buildings or roads. and from June until around January they burn the sugar cane and ash and smoke goes everywhere

Once you buy a house you'll be stuck with it for a long time.

"Not Much Apart from the Pub"

To be honest there isn't much going on in Bradon apart from the pub, its on the main highway so traffic is bad, and being on the train line doesn't help either. The police like to catch speeding drivers with their radar on the outskirts.
