What can I do to secure a rental property with a rental history that is not so perfect?

I am currently applying for rental properties after recently separating. however, i am concerned about Notices to Remedy Breach that we received during a period of time that my ex-husband was unemployed due to unexpected job loss. Some real estate agents are requesting a copy of the rental ledger, which will show the Notices. what can i do to secure a rental property now, as a single mum with a rental history that is not so perfect? thank you.
