"Peaceful, Pretty and Rural"

Midway between Sydney and Canberra and within easy reach of the picturesque tourist villages that dot the region, Canyonleigh is a big rural area at the south-western corner of the NSW Southern Highlands. Canyonleigh Road is the continuation of the Illawarra Highway and it crosses the Hume Highway at Hoddles Crossing between Sutton Forest and Marulan. Canyonleigh Road curls along past vineyards, olive groves, cattle and alpaca properties and an array of rural homes in a variety of architectural styles.

The majority of Canyonleigh's properties are on or accessed by Tugalong Road, a predominantly sealed road which runs for many kilometres out towards a valley that, were it connected, would link with the Megalong Valley and Blue Mountains. A short drive along Tugalong Road brings you to the licensed General Store, a popular coffee shop and gathering spot, especially at weekends.

Locals love the peace, serenity, space and astonishing variety of Canyonleigh. No two properties are alike. If you are considering buying or renting here, look at everything as you cannot generalise about this neck of the woods. There are properties with gorgeous sandstone outcrops near homes that are part of the Open Garden Scheme. Wildlife abounds in eucalypt and acacia forests dotted with geebung and casuarina. Depending on where you choose to live in Canyonleigh you'll be an average 40 minutes drive from Goulburn, 20 minutes from Moss Vale and about half an hour from Bowral. Access to Sydney, Wollongong and Canberra is direct from Canyonleigh.
