"The Place To Live"

I've have lived and worked in Brisbane for 7 years, 4 of those in Coorparoo. This suburb is definitely up there with the best in Brisbane with its close proximity to the CBD, train and express buses, cafes, parks and now the new project at the old Myers building on Old Cleveland Rd providing new retail and residential options. If you thinking of moving to the southside of Brisbane make sure you look at Coorparoo.

"Eating out at 'Greek on Cav'"

I have had the best Greek eating out experience for some time at a little local restaurant on Cavendish Road at Coorparoo. This lovely little BYO is tiny and not at all a white table cloth affair, but it offers a great place to meet up with good friends and share a fantastic meal for a low cost. Freshly made Dolmades were a fantastic starter with my first glass of wine and a very filling stuffed squid in white wine and tomato with rice pilaif didn't disappoint for main. Finally my rice puddiing with almond brittle encouraged you to scrap every morsel from the dish. I would advise to book your Greek experience so as not to miss out. JohnDeperi
JohnDeperi Sorry but Greek on Cav is a very poor example of what good Greek food should be. Brisbane really doesn't have anything as good as the Greek restaurants in Sydney or Melbourne. You will get a better quality meal at one of the Greek restaurants in West End or better still Hellenica at the Gold Coast. Hellenica sets the benchmark for Greek restaurants in QLD.

JudeA I totally agree with the above comment. Have lived and worked in Coorparoo for over 7 years. Neighbours are friendly and it is very close to public transport. Nice and quiet area. Hellenica on the Gold Coast is a supurb Greek restaurant.

"Biggest Suburb Around Town"

Coorparoo is amazing. Homes vary greatly from Old Queenslander, Art Deco to Contempary. The hills create magnificent pockets and more and more there are little cafes opening. The new development of units and shopping is a massive positive. Only up and up to go!

"Quiet, Green and you can walk to everything!"

I grew up in Coorparoo and after living overseas and elsewhere in Queensland have chosen to settle back into Coorparoo. Cooparoo is so convenient to the City (circa 5kms) with access to bus and rail pretty easy. I love the dining precincts on Cav Rd, the Junction and in nearby Martha street as well as the abundance of great parks. Coorparo also has some great schools (Villanova, Loreto, Churchie and Mt Carmel etc). The people are friendly and it still has a great community feel due to the suburby having a great mix of longterm and newer residents.

"Convenient, green and quiet"

Coorparoo is a great suburb. I have lived in the area for 5 years after living at Hamilton on the northside. Coorparoo is by far more convenient with excellent restaurant and shopping options. Combined with its great green spaces (especially Majestic Park) and great options for both private and public schools it is in my opinion one of the best places to live in Brisbane.

"High in the Constellations"

A Contractor Born and raised in Brisbane, I have lived here for over 40 years and in Coorparoo for the past 18 years, firstly closer to the city near Coorparoo primary school and now up in the Constellations. I can honestly say that Coorparoo is a definite winner. Everything you could possibly need is so close by but nothing is busy, I think that's the main appeal. You can be in the city in 15 mins or jump on the freeway and be surfing at the gold coast in under an hour. Lots of Cafe's and restaurants are within walking distance and kids can jump on the bus and be at Churchie or Villanova in 10 mins or walk to Loretto. There are lots of great parks and many nature reserves and bush coridors making it the greenest inner city suburb. Magestic park is great place to play with the kids and kick a footy around and the surrounding hills are great to run or walk for exercise and take in the breathtaking city views. Its a clean, green environment and friendly place to live and work, not going t

"Best overall suburb I have ever lived in."

This suburb is only 6kms to the CBD, has some of the best dining options in Brisbane. The traffic on the weekend is non existant, which in my opinion is what truly makes the Inner South East stand out over it's Northern counterparts. Large shopping centres, botique shopping and dining precincts, exceptional schools and easy access to buses, train and the bikeway. Many parts of Coorparoo are elevated offering fantastic panoramic city views. The streets are green and leafy especially in the Coorparoo heights district. I moved here three years ago and will live here for a long time to come.

"Cool Coorparoo"

Coorparoo is an inner city suburb of Brisbane located a few minutes drive south of Brisbane CBD. You can still buy houses for reasonable prices in this area, you will get a decent size house and land here in comparison to other inner city suburbs closer to the CBD.

Some blocks even feature city skyline views.

"Nice, safe, leafy suburb"

I love living here, have lived here for around 7 years and have just bought a 2 bedroom flat. Is so close to city and amenities but still leafy and can hear birds chirping. Is becoming expensive to buy but still not as bad as some places closer to the city, can't imagine living in another suburb.

"Coorparoo is Brisbane's best kept secret"

Coorparoo is easily Brisbane's best buy right now, you can still get a solid and BIG 70's 6 pack 2 b/r apartment for under 350k and it may already have been updated. Any upgrades you make will only need to be cosmetic and perhaps a little tiling here and there. These places were built solid!
Put in 5k and some of your time to perhaps paint and put in some new carpet then just wait a year - see how much prices have risen in the lat 18 months - amid the GFC and all!
A great place for travelling to the city also, lots of parks and with the Clem 7 tunnel plus WHEN the old Myer gets done up, Coorparoo will be the next Paddington.

"Close to City, good transport, leafy and nice"

I have lived in Coorparoo for a number of years. It's a nice inner city suburb, with short commutes to the city. There are some cute areas with cafes and boutique shops - like Martha Street, or around cav road. There are trains, buses, and the highway to connect you to work. But also, nice parks, and friendly people.

"Coorparoo is a great location close to highway.."

Coorparoo is a nice family environment with well established renvated or new homes the area is elevated so some owners/renters are lucky enough to have city skyline views. Imagine a cocktail or glass of wine on your balcony overlooking Brisbane City lights.

This suburb has big blocks of land 500-600+ sqm for good prices and good combination of people within the suburb old and young. If you want to avoid traffic and long drive home and still have decent size block for kids, dog and for entertainment then check out Coorparoo.
