"Love East Perth!"

With its uber proximity to the city, the river, parks and other precincts such as Optus Stadium, East Perth is a really is a great place to live.
It’s got something for everyone, from playgrounds, parks & gardens, walking & running tracks, public open spaces, and a broad range of architecture – old and new.

There are numerous cafes and restaurants that stretch from the waterfront at Claisebrook Cove on the northern side to the Swan River to the south. Plenty of amenities and services, bars, coffee shops, yoga studio, post office, bottle shops, and no shortage of hotels for visitors to our city.

Housing is mixed, from apartments to townhouses and even a number of stand-alone residences – there is something to suit all tastes, living arrangements and budgets.

""The Perfect Place To Live""

East Perth is the perfect place to live, weather you are located in the swanky Claisebrook Cove, on the banks of Terrace Road or anywhere in between. There really is no better suburb that "has it all" right on your doorstep. Free public transport into the CBD although it is walking distance the Cat bus takes you right into the heart of Perth's Shopping district.

There are so many cafe's, bars and restaurants it is hard to name them all, but most definitely a highlight is being able to access Optus Stadium "awarded the best Stadium in Australia" and The Camfield "Australia's largest pub" (the bar is a mere 110sqm) and that is one of 2 inside, there is also an outside bar all with quality food to choose from...a great place to enjoy a Sunday afternoon, or a drink before heading into Optus Stadium to enjoy all the events that are on offer.

Claisebrook Cove is simply stunning, after living here for over 12 years, and selling Real Estate in the area for even longer, I really could not imagine living any where else. I am on the doorstep of the cycle path that takes in every advantage along Perth's gorgeous Swan River, can walk to the local IGA which is beyond outstanding and has everything you need, Pharmacy 777 is across the road, there really is everything right on my doorstep. A Friday afternoon is quite often spent having a couple of bevies at The Royal on the Waterfront, The Partisan is a favorite for Breakfast/Brunch, or as equally as good is Toast, and how could i not mention Wassup Cafe, Jules the owner has really made such a name for his amazing coffee and fantastic vibe in helping those less fortunate...good on you Jules, the community is behind you 100%

I can take a stroll across the Maratagup Bridge and head to the Busrwood Entertainment Center.... there is just so much on offer...

With talk of the redevelopment of the Perth's Power station being turned into a swanky new development of mixed use commercial and Residential really is exciting and will only add to the incredible lifestyle we get to enjoy living in East Perth.

As a fitness fanatic, I love my local F45 Training Studio and have been a member for over 5 years, it has always had a great energy whenever you walk into the studio and this is a testament to the owners, Shain and Fi. However there a few other options if this is not your thing.

I love a run around the East Perth Bridges, which is just over 7km, or if you only feeling doing 3km you can cross the Maratgup Bridge. Sometimes ..if i am feeling in the right mood i will continue on down Riverside Drive and do the extra 10km around the South Perth Bridges which takes you through Elizabeth Quays, and over to South Perth, as it all links together you can really go as far as you want. Perth is known for our amazing cycle paths that wind around the Swan River all the way to Freemantle or up to Ascot...they are almost endless.

The Little Ferry Co is a great way to take a meander on the river, hop on from The Cove and head into Elizabeth Quay's with a few stops along the way and is a great way to get out on the water on our perfect days we enjoy so much of in Western Australia.

With the $15M upgrade to Wellington Square currently taking place, along with the redevelopment of the old Perth's Girl's School, there really is so much that East Perth Offers, and so much more that will make East Perth the only place you will want to live!

And i can't forget about the the schools, with Trinity Collage for boys, which my son attended, and Mercedes Girls collage both that are o within walking distance, there are so many other options, but i can't give it all away!!!

There really is nothing bad to say about this Inner City suburb, not only as a long time resident that has seen so much transformation in the 12 years of living here, but selling inner city Real Estate for some 20 years and specializing, specifically in this area.

East Perth, without a doubt has everything you could want in a location, and when you want to be in the best place...it is all about LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!

"A little taste of Europe"

East Perth to me feels like I'm strolling the streets in Europe, especially through the Cove area. Grab a coffee, sit down and if you are lucky you might see some dolphins feeding in the cove... what a treat!
It is the perfect place to escape the office for a lunch break

"Peaceful east perth"

East Perth is in general a really peaceful suburb given its close proximity to CBD. Lots of apartment buildings so mostly composed of young professionals. If you live on the main street it can be a bit noisy but no street noise at all if your apartment at the back of the building. Lack of shopping is one downside as you would either have to go into city or drive to other suburbs. But overall I enjoyed living in East Perth and thinking that it is esp good for singles, couples and young families.

"Meth heads Park people Violence"

After 10 years in this suburb from hell we have finally had enough after yet another assault by meth heads, Wellington square is the home of dozens of aboriginals and drug users that the city of perth allows, calling the police is a joke, we loved it here for the first year or two but now it is a battle ground mainly due to all the welfare agencies who have set up shop to assist these lazy drug fuelled reprobates, buying here is to be avoided at all cost, we are moving to South Perth, so much better.

"Claisebrook Cove = mini Nice or Riviera"

I have lived in East Perth since 2011 (with a brief stint in the outer suburbs) and this is where I want to stay. I have recently purchased a property to transit from renting to owning. Property prices are high, but the rental or resale value seem certain.

The best features of East Perth are the Claisebrook Cove area (a beautifully built water inlet with busy, cheerful cafes and bars); and the Swan River foreshore with cycling and pedestrian paths, parks, greenery, water birds and outdoor gym equipment. My partner and I go for a walk, cycle or exercise in the park several times per week.

East Perth is safe, clean, green and tidy. It's quiet at night and reasonably lively and busy during the day, at least at the Cove and along Hay St and Adelaide Tce. The streets in between are not as interesting, but are also a convenient location to live for anyone working in the CBD. We also have families with small kids as neighbours: apartment dwellers substitute the lack of back yard by spending family time in the multiple beautiful parks.

I wish there were more options to dine at night, even though there are a few restaurants around the Cove, Adelaide Tce and on Hill St around Wellington Park. We hardly ever walk to Hay St, even though there would be some options too.

East Perth is perfect for anyone who appreciates the convenient location (free transit zone, never pay to get the CBD by bus or train!), greenery at the rivershore and lively Mediterranean feeling of enjoying coffee at a sunny cafe patio at the Cove, watching people stroll by and even dolphins playing in the inlet. More shops, cafes and restaurants would ensure lively nightlife outside of the Cove.

The only down side - along with the price tag - is that Wellington Park is dodgy at night (people drink, fight and cause disturbance).

"Great for City Life"

Been here for about 2 years... love it. Has all the disadvantages of being in a city but on the other side of the coin all the great things too.

"Competitive"

A very handy location being so close to the city. Good choice of cafes etc, but East Perth has quite a high percentage of rentals.

What also appears to happen is foreigners buy the apartments and leave them empty for months or Yeats at a time.

Without the army of government workers in the area, the entire suburb would be a commercial disaster. Once the workers go home, most businesses shut shop and the area is quiet dead.

Having said that, I prefer a quiet suburb so this is not a problem for me but it's no west Perth or subiaco and I doing it ever will be because of these dynamics.

Love the river location and the magnificent parks etc. If I could live there in a full house (not apartment) I would.
