"A great spot with excellent schooling options on your doorstep"

Evanston is a suburb that has developed very rapidly over the past 20 years. Situated just 40 minutes from Adelaide along the Main North Road, Evanston is wrapped around the huge school of Trinity College and its Starplex complex.

Predominantly a residential area, Evanston is largely made up of a number of subdivisions with neat brick homes and gardens. There are also some older homes in the area that have been well-maintained and cared for.

Close to Gawler, you will have everything you need just a 5 minute drive away. There are the big shopping complexes, cafes, pubs, restaurants, hospitals, sporting facilities and cinemas.

Trinity College is the defining feature of this suburb. A private Anglican school, and the largest in the Southern hemisphere, Trinity offers a huge range of subjects, sporting facilities and educational opportunities for your children. Traffic in the area can be chaotic at the start and end of a school day, so it is a huge benefit that this school is in easy walking distance from your front door.

Stevet58 Jasmin is right, Trinity College is not in Evanston Gardens either. People seemed to be very confused, this site is about EVANSTON GARDENS, not Evanston and not Evanston Park. They are 3 very different suburbs. Evanston is a dive, it's like a 3rd world country. And, Trinity College is not an Anglican private school. It is a non-denomination Christian School; well that's how they describe it.

"An established and friendly area"

I have visited and stayed with relatives in Evanston many times and have found the area to be very friendly. With nice neighbours who keep their houses and gardens well maintained, everyone looks out for each other and helps out when they can.

It's an area that is family friendly, pet friendly and in a convenient location. Walking distance to kindies, child care centres, primary schools and high schools make it easy for parents to walk their children to and from school. Also being walking distance to public transport and shops is a bonus.

Overall, a quiet and caring community spirit is alive and well here.

Stevet58 Evanston is not Evanston Gardens. Evanston Gardens is a great place to live, mostly. The only downside is there are a large number of people renting, many from Housing SA. The bulk of the renters are fine, the have good community spirit and maintain their properties. Unfortunately a few are ferals who don't deserve to be there; some are foul-mouthed mutons, they don't maintain their properties and bring down the tone of the whole neighborhood.

"Great place to bring up kids, to live"

Rau Avenue, very friendly neighbours that don't live in your pockets, but very caring, ready to lend a hand.Neighbours keep their gardens well maintained. Access to large shopping complex around the corner, and kindy, child care facilities, primary, high school and private schools all within walking distance a bonus. An affordable , great place to live, with eateries close by,pet friendly street, and feel safe.

"Great place for young and old!"

We moved here recently, a young married couple to build our first home. It is a beautiful location, close to the Barossa and still a great country feel without being too far from town!
