"Currently building my house in Howrah"

I've rented in Howrah for 3 years, have bought a block and am currently building. It is one of the nicesnt suburbs of Hobart. Close to the city but far enough away to be a quiet area with lots of space and bush. Great views from everywhere. Very clean and safe.

  • Relatively Affordable
  • Wide open spaces
  • clean environment
  • mountain views valley views

sushk Hi Mate,
I am looking at a block of land at Howrah and wanted to ask you how much does it roughly cost to build around there?
Cheers.

"Beautiful Glebe Hill Howrah"

take a drive into the glebe hill entrance and you know all the residents are very house proud of their mostly new homes they are kept in perfect condition
and this reflects an open feel to this new suburb
like all new subdivisions there are new houses going up all the time and the builders are actively getting on with the job... this causes a little of inconvenience when trucks are in and out of the estate but this will disperse when all home sites are built upon
the future looks bright for the new part of howrah ... easy access to hobart ..easy access to shopping ..open spaces for walking ..valley and mountain views
Pros
  • mountain views valley views
  • clean environment
  • friendly neighbors
  • Naturally beautiful
  • Relatively Affordable
  • Wide open spaces
Cons
  • needs a local shop inside glebe hill estate

Frogztar
Frogztar The need for local shops in Glebe Hill is true but there is the Howrah fruit market right at the entrance and the Shoreline shopping centre is 2 minutes drive away.

"Great Views, wonderful people."

Close to the city, airport, shopping centres. Best views in Hobart, overlooking city, Mt Wellington, Casino. Sun out for much longer than the Western Suburbs making it warmer all year round. Moderately priced compared to other overrated suburbs. Beautiful natural beauty, two lovely beaches located IN the Suburb, and one adjacent, Bellerive Beach. A few minutes drive to the world renowned Bellerive Oval.
Pros
  • Naturally beautiful
  • Wide open spaces
  • Relatively Affordable
Cons
  • Lack of decent play parks for children (compared with the Western Shore)

Frogztar
Frogztar Hi, you put in the lack of parks as a con. I live in Ninabah St, there are 5 parks within 2 minutes walking distance and I live right next door to one. Along the beach, there are 4 more seperate parks (5 mins walking) and over 10 sports grounds that I know of.
