Kitchener is a wonderful place to live. Located within easy reach of town for all your shopping and entertainment needs but still with that country feeling. Just over an hour to Sydney bit far enough away to feel like another world. A nice quiet place in the country.

"Quiet rural, leafy setting with plenty of nature walks and bike trails close to town"

Kitchener is the perfect rural village with a relaxed quite and friendly atmosphere, offering many walking, horse, cycling and bike trails and an abundance of birdlife. It has a mixture of both old and modern homes which all boast large blocks. Kitchener also has a wonderful primary school with large grassy playgrounds within walking distance for children and the famous Poppet Head Park with barbecue facilities and a dam which is home to many ducks and at times swans and their babies. It is in close proximity to Cessnock - only being a few minutes drive away. A wonderful area to raise children or retire in. The only drawback is the lack of public transport except for school buses.
Pros
  • Great school
  • Wonderful bush walks
  • Green and leafy, quite, friendly
