Events happening in this city this Christmas

“It's the most wonderful time of the year” to do stuff with the family. This year Melbourne will have plenty of festive activities for everyone to enjoy across the city. I have taken the time to put just some of the top things to do between now and right the way through to Christmas eve.

Awkward Christmas Portrait
Date 1st till the 20th of December Thurs through to Sunday.
Looking to inject a bit of humor into your Christmas. Then try the Awkward Christmas Portrait. Dodgy Christmas jumpers at the ready, along with a great deal of just as dodgy props to create the perfect image.

Fed Square
Ever wondered what the largest Lego Christmas tree in the southern hemisphere looked like?
Well wonder no more! Fed square will play host to it this year, which will be a slight to be believed.
You can create your own Lego decorations, interactive games, outdoor cinema. Plenty to do this festive season at Fed Square.

Christmas Festival
City square from the 28th of November till the 25th of December.
City Square will become Christmas Square this year. The place will be transformed into a festive forest for all the family. During the day you can find nutcracker soldiers and candy canes and by night you can be in awe of the Christmas lights.

Christmas Shopping night at Sovereign Hill
Sovereign Hill on the 4th of December.
Spend your day in a more simpler time with a ye olde style Christmas shopping experience. Something straight out of the eighteenth century.

Bare witness to the visual onslaught that the Crown shall be putting on this year. Animatronics, music and lights. They shall have a 15 meter high 24 hour lit tree and giant spinning baubles that open up to reveal Santa's friends inside.
