Food challenges in Melbourne

Testing one stomach is great sport, and Melbourne is the best city for these eating challenges.
I have noted down some of the best of the best.

Prahran - Massive Wieners
25 inches of hot dog needs to be (B)eaten within 5 minutes. Either you end up on their wall of fame or shame.

The Don Burger at The Beer and Burger Bar
two kg of burger, comprised of a cobb loaf, two 600kg of beef, with all the fillings. 400g of chips and two cans of soft drinks need to be eaten within the time to beat on the leaderboard.

Tower of Power or Mountain of Minis at Cafe 51
3kg of beef goes into making this burger, 20 150g patties to be more correct. With cheese on every layer. you will need to finish it within the fastest time, which is around the 14 minute mark.
Or
The Mountain of Minis is a race to see how many you can eat in 5 minutes.

At Kodiak Club you have to eat through 60 buffalo hot wings smothered in HOT sauce, and you have 60 minutes to get through them.

Outback Jack’s has a 1kg of rump steak, a large amount of wedges (500g) and a side of veg (500g). You got to eat this in 30 minutes.

Food challenges that I know of in Melbourne are:

1. Shawcross Pizza on Brunswick St, Fitzroy has the 22 inch pizza pir challenge. If you finish the whole thing you win a t-shirt and a slab of beer if you beat the record time.

2. Hofbrauhaus on Market Lane in the CBD has a 1.5kg pork schnitzel, a bowl of chips and a litre of beer challenge. If you finish the meal within 45mins you get a t-shirt and the meal for free!

3. The B.East in Brunswick East has a burger challange consisting of 3 beef patties, three pieces of bacon, chilli cheese sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickled red onion and a brioche bun. If you can finish it in under 1 minute 50 seconds you receive a t-shirt or beat the current record of 1 minute you get $200 cash.
