"A place proud to call home"

With over 20 parks ranging from playgrounds to ponds, Mill Park has established a high quality of life style trends. On warm summer nights you'll find an abundance of families going for walks and enjoying picnics creating a fresh and welcoming suburban feel.

As a Sales Associate in Mill Park, I've helped many people buy and sell in the area, therefore can confidently say its great place to live with an annual growth of 7% and average sale price of $570,000 for common houses. (April 2017)

"Excellent Suburb - Great Value"

We have lived in MillPark for the last 4 Years, we have got everything we need for the family and Kids...and still very afordable compared to many suburbs in Melbourne, wait couple of Years to finish the development of South Morang, Mernda and Doreen and prices will rock...
Very good access to Freeway, and will be even better after starting the missing link between Greensborough and East Link;
Very good primary, high school and University...
It is a great place for Kids

"An excellent choice for first home buyers, young couples and new families."

Lived in the area for 25+ years and have seen it grow from strength to strength. It has become alot more lively and energetic the past few years and has sprouted some very nice pockets (Blossom Park estate). It has everything we need within a short distance. Its really not that far from the CBD (22km). Highly recommended and great value for money compared to inner areas.

"Mill Park and surrounds"

I've lived in Mill Park for about five years and worked in the area for the last 10. Being in the real estate industry I have a knowledge of the area, it's positives and negatives

The Positives: great family friendly area with transport, close proximity to public and private schools, RMIT and La Trobe University. The Westfield shopping centre offers the shopper a lot of opportunity and the proposed South Morang rail line (which borders Mill Park) will provide much needed transportation for commuters. We also have a cool looking library, which I haven't had the chance of visiting!

The Negatives:
Although there are many bus routes taking you to schools and shopping centres, having a car is the ideal form of transportation. There is no direct train line from Mill Park itself, and being some 25km's from the CBD, I can see it being a concern for people working in the CBD and its surrounding suburbs. Depending on which side of Mill Park you look to settle in, you will also have access to neighbouring Bundoora's Tram line which goes into the CBD.

"It's not what it used to be :("

Mill Park has everything that you could want in a suburb. Great shopping, schools and near buy transportations. But the area was once a peacful place now you have the hoons virtually out everynight you have the annoying trail bikes going past our streets and local parks where we once took walks and had picnics but not anymore...and there are also no convenient play centres or cafes to take kids to e.g play gyms with cafe facilitites, sports centres etc..

we are considering moving because of the above information given....sad but you got to do what you got to do to make life pleasant for our young family...thinking of moving into the country...no near by neighbours to bother you and no hoons doing burn outs when raining outside our home...

regards
Christine

"Jasmine Drive"

I have lived in Mill park for the past 6 years and have found it to be an excellent place to live in. We are close to great shopping areas such as Lalor shops and University Hill and MILL PARK Stables. The facilities are fantastic. We have BMX tracks, local parks, golf course within walking distance. The YMCA centre is a 5 minute drive from our home which has gym and all sorts of leisure activities. We stroll down to Botanica Park Estate, feed the ducks, kids play on the equipment and enjoy the tranquil serenity. Some mornings we hear the kookaburra birds. The neighbours in our street are fantastic. We keep an eye out and help out each each other. In the past there were some hoons from some social housing down the road. The police cleaned them out and the place has become much safer and better to live in. People walking the street are generally friendly and will say G'day. We have been enjoying high speed cable broadband cable unlike some estates like Botanica Park where customers can only access slow DSL speeds and require a satellite dish for Foxtel. There are no overhead powerlines. You will see native birds like Kookaboros, Lorikeets, Corellas, Cockatoos, Magpies, Grassparrots etc. The BUS stops are just round the corner giving access throughout Melbourne top facilities including schools, shops cafe's etc. The nearest train station is Lalor or Thomastown, requires a 10 minute drive. Plenty road is 1km down the road providing tram access. RMIT university is within walking distance 600 meters. There is main bike trail that links all the way to Melbourne CBD, within 100 meters from our home. We are approximately 20km from Melbourne CBD. As a cyclist it takes me at best 42 minutes to ride into the city. An averge bike ride would take an hour via the bike trail passing through suburbs such as Reservoir, Preston, Thornbury, Northcote, Fitzroy and Carlton.

High percentage of young families, value for money compared with other suburbs. Great facilities and recently developed University Hill for shopping.

"Buying in Mill Park - Best value for money in every way :)"

My Name is Angelo Mossuto I work with Morris Glen Real Estate located in the heart of South Morang / Mill Park at 1/314 Mcdonalds Rd, South Morang and it is an absolute joy selling real-estate in Mill Park and what surrounds it. I have lived here all my life and love the area so much.

Much of my love for Mill Park is the people. It is a growing suburb and is always improving.

Personally I am looking forward to the proposed train station which will be located on the South Morang / Mill Park border.

Some minor improvements are needed with regards to the roads in the entire area of Whittlesea. Other than that the roads are quite good in comparison to older areas. University Hill all though not exactly in Mill Park is growing and personally cant wait for a new Cinema and Gym. What can I say Stables is in desperate need of a revamp. I like most things new so unless it has a touch up, I'll stay away. The ground which you walk on is old and unlevel basically old bricks put together and may be unsafe for some people who dont watch every step.

A good coffee you'll find at Cerezo Deli at Uni Hill, A pet store with good advice Kindred Spirts (Stables) and Charcol Chicken at Rivergum Shops.

Please feel free to Contact my work number if you would like to buy or sell in Mill Park.
