"Nice suburb with everything"

What a nice suburb located right in the centre of "the triangle of hubs" comprising burwood, rhodes and olympic park.
Close to city (another thumb up because this is an express train that only stops at Strathfield, burwood and redfern before entering CBD).
Handful of schools to send kids (Victoria avenue public school, north stra public school, concord west public school and the list goes on).
There is a local woolie although it is not huge. If you want, you can go to strathfield woolie which is only 5 minutes away by drive.

Having lived in Stanmore for the past 4 years before moving to North Strathfield this year, I love this suburb so much better than those trendy inner west suburbs like Stanmore, Newtown, Enmore because I literally hated hated hated airplane noise in those trendy inner west suburbs.

Lack of nightlife does not bother me because that was only a factor to consider in my early twenties. Now i need to raise my kids. So the lack of nightlife is actually another forte of this suburb because it gives me a sense of security for my kids.

"Small suburb but quite convenient!"

Nice suburb, close to every thing 15 km away from Sydney CBD, the train comes every 15 minuts on week days, it is quite convenient for students and the one who worked in city. Though there is no shopping center in North Strathfield but it is quite close to Burwood, Rhodes, Concord and Strathfield, you always have a lot of shopping options. There are some nice restaurants and cafes on George Street, if you just want to buy some Groceries, there is an Aldi and Harris Farm.

"Central to everything"

North Strathfield is a quiet little suburb 11km from the CBD and central to all amenities. 10 minutes to Burwood Westfields or Top Ryde Shopping Centre, 5 minutes to Rhodes or Strathfield shopping, 2-3 minutes to DFO (Direct Factory Outlet) and Sydney Markets so 12 out of 10 for retail therapy.

George St the heart of North Strathfield has a Harris Farms and an Aldi and surrounded by a few cafes, restaurants and other small shops, a Fitness First gym, a bowling alley and a carwash which are all pretty convenient as well. Being close to surronding suburbs like Five Dock, Concord and Burwood the cafe lifestyle is pretty good as well.

Residents of North Strathfield will also have a choice of Concord West Station or North Strathfield station for transportation which is very convenient and being on the Northern line there is still room to get a seat even during peak hour which isn't the case for some other train lines. Travel to the city by train is approximately 30 minutes.

With house prices and rents still relatively affordable in the area, and not too far from the CBD, this suburb has alot of potential.

"Nice Inner-city suburb"

North Strathfield is only a thirty minutes' drive west from the city and there is a train station that services this area. However, the trains are quite infrequent and this makes travelling during off-peak hours very inconvenient. The closest major train station will be in Strathfield, which is about a five minutes' drive.

North Strathfield is slowly developing as a result of urban sprawl. There are more residential apartments now as compared to a few years ago. Fitness First and Harris Farm have established themselves in North Strathfield alongside a few car yards and Paul’s warehouse. Additionally, there is a supermarket and some restaurants located along the Concord Road side of North Strathfield. Many families live around the area due to its close proximity to Strathfield station and the schools around here.
