Which is the best high school in Northmead, NSW?

I know there is a performing arts high school but my son doesn't seem to be inclined towards arts. Is it possible to get him into another high school, considering the high school catchment issues?

Northmead High does have the CAPA program running (Creative and Performing Arts) but they do offer a rounded education even if your son isn't particularly fond of the arts. There are also other local high schools, like Muirfield and Model Farms which are a short bus ride from Northmead, which you can apply to as an 'out of area' student even if you're not within their catchment.

Whilst Northmead High is a performing arts school and the only High School in Northmead the school also offers good academic tutoring, computer & IT schooling, languages and many sporting activities. If your son is looking for more trade orientated 'hands on' education you may need to look at one of the private high schools in and around Parramatta. Bus services to Parramatta along WIndsor Rd are reliable and frequent.
