The plane noise in Parkdale is not a massive concern for the residents, as the suburb has such great schooling, recreational facilities, shopping, cafes etc that this is overlooked.
There is a flight path running in a southerly direction from the Moorabbin airport (close to the direction of how Warren Road runs North > South) where noise is prevalent but as they are "lighter" planes & helicopters (not 747s or AirBuses)..I really don't think it should be a major issue of concern.

Hoping this has helped!

Hi Kaylee, great question, no real simple answer however..... often when planes are landing, they can be heard approaching from what ever direction they are coming from. i.e. If you live in Diamond Creek, sometimes when the Sydney-Melb flights take the further south route you will hear the planes as they come over to approach the Melb airport to the west. If they are coming from the northern route, they fly over mainly farm land so often will not be heard. If coming from the west (Adelaide/Perth flights) then it all depends on wind directions which affect approach...so no real simple answer. Often from Point Cook you can hear planes flying over as they prepare to approach from the south or when changing directions. Obviously, the closer you live to an airport, the more you will hear.
Good luck with it.

Living in Parkdale you will hear planes. Not of the international airport, but of the local Moorabin, where everyone goes to charter small planes, day trips and lessons. You do however get used to it.
