"Something Big about to happen"

Parmelia is definitely something big about to happen.

With the government's investment into the Kwinana area, Parmelia is at the centre of all the action.

Parmelia enjoys great accessibility to a major shopping centre, recreation centre, parks, and schools.

The major streets passing through Parmelia such as Gilmore Avenue, Sulphur Road, Wellard Road, and Chisham Avenue are on the verge of a dramatic change. With streets like Chisham Avenue soon to be a cafe strip, with a new bar and bistro, and luxury apartments.

Public transport and amenities are excellent.

The Parmelia suburb will be a great location for families, young couples, and also the astute investor.

It is the next great thing waiting to happen south of the river in Perth.

And for those of you who don't know, "Parmelia" was named after the first ship carrying Captain James Stirling and his wife, to arrive in Perth and establish the Swan River colony - it is a suburb with great history.

"many areas check the neighbours"

this area gets a bad rep due to the overall stigma of unemployment in kwinana council area. living there isnt so bad as there are many people of different economic backgrounds. some ppl believe rockingham or safetybay/ secret harbour are better but the same issues arrise there- drugs, school violence and the like. generally for the lower cost of buying or renting the bus service is fantastic and the train is nearby too. as is the freeway so everything is handy to get to- work or schools or even shopping. what kwinana doesn't have, will be easy to get to via car , bus or train. even the beach is 10 min drive away. fremantle and Rockingham are also close.

"The Hidden Jewel"

Wake up to leafy green streets and parks to the sound of singging birds. Everywhere is in close proximity by walking. The train station, schools, shops, choice of medical centres, dental and physiotherapists. The public transport system is frequent and efficient with bus, rail and taxi services. Early mornings and evennings you will always see a variety of people walking and exercising. The local recreation centre facilitates boot camp for the fitness conscious and the requatic centre is state of the art to say the least. It is approximately 7km drive to the nearest beach, travelling time of 6mins. Parmelia is a hidden sanctuary within the metropolitan area. There are pocket views to Perth and along the enscarpment you will find unintrusive views of the Darling ranges that are simply breath taking early mornings and sky light evennings.
