Why is it not great for cost of living?

Insurance, petrol and food are more expensive. Houses are more affordable. Balances out.

I think it just depends on where you live .. you don't have as much shop competition.. but as long as you have a solid job i think it's not that much more expensive to live up north than other places. And insurances are cheaper!! lol
