"HOT SPOT area to buy your first home"

We are proud home owners of Regents Park! Based in Benjamina Circuit in Regents Park we have great neighbours! We have a mixer of ethnic groups in our neighbourhood - Chinese, New Zealanders, African, Australians, Italian and us Samoan/Cook Islander. We are only 5 minutes away from the Grand Plaza and all the local shops eg fruit shops, gyms, restaurants, park ridge Tavern, Greenbank RSL etc. The residents in our street are proud home owners and most home owners mow their lawns and keep their gardens miraculously tidy!
Pros
  • 35 minutes to CBD 40 Minutes to Gold Coast
  • Close to all major shops
  • Good resale and good rental return
  • family friendly
  • SOOOOOOO much retail/services available at adjacent Browns Plains!

"Safe and Friendly"

We have lived in Regents Park for the last seven years, We love where we live, the children play safely in the street, the neighbours are friendly, helpful and keep an eye out for everyone. We find it to be a neighbourhood that is very family orientated, peaceful and safe.

"Pannu"

I am living in Regents park in 6 months with my family, No doubt it is beautiful suburb, the only problem I found that Parks are not in good condition, they don't have enough activities for kids: only swing and sandpit ( which is in bad condition) nobody cut grass for long time. it not good for kids to play. one major problem is parents leave their children unattended in park and they do all naughty things and talked they should not do in public. sometime they are so rude and feel uncomfortable and have to leave the park. .

"Best Kept Secret"

I have lived in Regents Park for about 4 years. We had an opportunity to buy in other areas including Forest Lake, but ultimately we decided that Regents Park was a much better option. When we decided to sell our first house in Regents Park for a larger block for our big dogs, we looked far and wide from Redbank/Springfield to Munruben/Greenbank. We found a large block in Regents Park which was just perfect. Let's face it....we have soooo many amenities at our fingertips, literally within walking distance. We have everything from doctors, new car dealerships, the Greenbank RSL, Grand Plaza, & Village Square to more random amenities like the rollerskating, an aquatic centre, and rock climbing! Not to forget the beautiful stretch of bikeway and creek! It's crazy how much is on offer in Regents Park. When I think of all the people who pay a fortune to live somewhere like Paddington yet it's got barely any amenities, only pretentious dress shops & cafes! lol

I work near the CBD but I know that with all the commercial development happening in the region (eg. Logan Link) it will only attract more business and facilities and more people. In a year or so when the developments are finished I will look at working closer to home.

We've never had any issues with crime at Regents Park and sometimes on the weekend I catch a late bus home from the city and walk home in the dark but I've never felt unsafe.

I would definitely recommend Regents Park. It's got more bang for ya buck than most suburbs in Brisbane and surrounds!

  • SOOOOOOO much retail/services available at adjacent Browns Plains!

"A Great Area that would be ok for Parents with Kids in the Local School"

We bought our home in Regents Park over 15 years ago now. We have had a few hoons in our street and around the area and they soon got sorted by the police. The school has been highly recommended by the parents of the children that go there. The only thing we find annoying is that most of the people in the area just keep to themselves. There is no neighbourly contact even though we have tried. Everyone seems to be too busy working.

"Excellent rental return for investors, good affordable housing"

This suburb was a surprise to me when I looked here. It is only 35 minutes to the city, houses from $260k with average house around $330k with a rental return of $320 to $390 p/w, low council rates compared to other suburbs and a massive choice of shopping from every spectrum.
I can see a small eliment of the rough and ready, but all standard suburbs have this in parts, and when you have cheap housing and a lot of industrial then you are going to get a few lower society people around as they will not be able to afford to live in the expensive suburbs, that is just life.
But you can always check out your neighbours before you buy and if your buying for investment purpose then you cant go wrong. People who rent normally are not in the position to buyb their own house so anything with close vicinity to everything you could need is a bonus. There are plenty of buses around, I didnt see a train station, not sure where it is, but I was blown away by how much this suburb has and even the local club, called the Greenbank Rsl, has everything from nightclub, cocktail lounge, kids club, bands , restaurant etc and a courtesy bus plus a kids club.
40 minute from the Gold Coast and close a bit less to CBD, not too far from the industrial areas of Browns Plains.
If your after a decent house in a cheap suburb or an addition to your property portfolio, it would be hard to find something of better value.

ROB1CRACKER
ROB1CRACKER Wow who the hell is this fool making negative comments on Regents Park and things he don't know. Where the hell did he get his stats from...Does he live here or did he just drive a few streets and made judgement. I am a local agent who has lived in the area for over 5 years and am a current resident of Regents Park. Here are some real stats... 76% of Regents Park is owner occupied with majority of the homes and streets in the area well presented with very house proud owners. RP DATA statistics showed Regents Park is the Prince of Suburbs in the Logan City Council second only to Rochedale South which was also a write up in the Logan Leader News Papers. As for transport, well whatever street you live on there is a bus stop within walking distance and with all major arterials to the Mt Lindsaye Highway to take you to the Gold Coast or Brisbane within minutes. As for crime, well every city and Suburb has it's problems, but I guarantee you, you would have hardly heard of Regents Park on the news unlike our up market neighbours the Gold Coast and many other Suburbs. Regents Park along with Heritage Park and Hillcrest are certainly the more favoured areas to purchase in the Browns Plains and surrounding Suburbs. Know the real facts before making stupid comments...

"A lovely place for kids"

This is one of the nicer suburbs on the southside of Brisbane. Close to the Coast and Brisbane - easy access to major freeways.

There are some real bargains at the moment. Highly recommended for first home buyers looking to be close to everything. I would check out Springfield Lakes though. Very impressive.

"Regents Park is the best suburb to live on the Southside of Brissy"

I bought a house in Regents Park and i love it.
The area is quiet and safe to live in, its surrounded by parkland and trees, yet so central to everything, plenty of schools, shops and transport. Lots more is being developed!
What a great place to invest in property to! Property will only go up as population move into this area as people are after quiet, safe places to live but accessible to everything, and this place
has all of the above!
Wouldnt live near the CBD, to hectic!

"A great place to buy your first home"

We bought our first home at Regents Park 1 year ago. Being Logan we were a bit skeptical in terms of the neighborhood and whether there was going to be a lot of dodgy people around. It has so far been a very positive experience, the neighbors are great, the street looks really well maintained and it is incredible quiet where we live. Great area and very good value for first home buyers. It takes me about 25 minutes to get to town which is acceptable and you get used to the driver very quickly.

I have never lived a place with so many shops and services so close. There is virtually everthing you need at Browns Plains, a 3 minute drive down the road. It's one of those places that has all food stores, (Nando's, Dominos, Pizza Hut, HJ, Mcd, etc etc) all banks, car shops, tyre places, mechanics, wollies, coles, big w, bunnings, target, kmart, you name it.

ROB1CRACKER
ROB1CRACKER I have lived in around the local area of Browns Plains for approximately four years before purchasing my home in Regents Park. Classed as one of the better areas in close proximity to Browns Plains, Regents Park is approximately 75% to 80% owner occupied with about 25% of the homes being owned outright and the remainder still being paid off. I live in a great cul-de-sac street of 8-10 homes and know and chat with probably all the neighbours. The kids have the freedom and safety to play on the streets together everyday and we are very happy where we are and should I consider selling where I am I would be content to repurchase again in Regents Park. As a local Real Estate agent I know the area very well and would recommend Regents Park as one of the favoured areas to purchase a home.
