"Seaford Rise, Where I Work, Rest and Play!"

We have lived here for 7 years after arriving from the UK. Originally living in Seaford we moved over Commercial Road to Seaford Rise.
We live on the Coast which is a great private development owned by Hickinbotham Homes. There is a great community spirit there with a lot of young families building on the estate, for example we had a street party for new years eve which finished at 4am. The kids out playing over at the creek on the tyre swing which us parents made for them. Coming home covered in mud, which is how kids should be playing, not sitting in playing computer games all day and night.
Seaford Rise has the fantastic Grand Boulevard all the way to secluded tree lined streets. It appeals to young and old to the very trendy.
The train extension and duplication of the Southern Expressway makes this a place for investment and for the commuters who are looking for that Coastal home.
We have the Moana Surf Club which is great for the young ones as they have the Little Nippers Club. Every Friday night during the summer we have a steak and beer at the club watching the sunset while the kids are on the beach. Moana has 2 beaches 1 you can drive on and the other a walk on only beach,I must admit we have the best beaches down south.
Seaford Recreation centre for the local gym and skate park and numerous primary schools this really is a great suburb.
Seaford shopping centre is expanding with Target opening there, then we have the rail extension due for completion late 2013 and the duplication of the expressway why would you not want to live here?
Feel free to email me and ask questions anytime.

"An expanding near coastal suburb ideal for raising families."

Seaford Rise was originally a joint venture between SA Government & Private Enterprise to create an affordable new estate for the growing population in the South. From it's humble beginnings with integrated housing ( SAHT & Private Ownership) it has now established itself as an emerging upmarket area. Many of the later stages in the estate have a number of sites capturing sensational seaviews and views across the southern foothills and Willunga Range. There is a diversity of housing and block sizes ranging from villas & courtyards to family sized allotments. As the estate has grown & matured the demographic profile has begun to shift with it.The immediate area has benefitted from this growth as it has brought with it new amenities and infrastructure.ie The Seaford Shopping Centre, Southern Expressway and soon to be constructed extension of the Noarlunga railway line to a new station on Seaford Road at Seaford Meadows. The residents are generally friendly and community minded. The area is favoured with lovely sandy beaches and is at the gateway to the Fleurieu Peninsula with it's variety of wineries and southern vales attractions.Overall it is considered to be a safe quality area to raise a family. As the coastal areas of the south develop further it too should enjoy strong capital growth in the years ahead.

Nixski Dont know as I have only just moved South. Stats say at least 30 families move South each week? There would have to be jobs in the area.

"Downhill sliding"

Seaford Rise is going downhill rapidly.
It used to be somewhere I was proud to say I lived, but it's being overrun by bogans.

"Perfect Family Lifestyle"

Seaford Rise is a reasonably new area in comparison to its surrounding suburbs that is still enjoying expansions with further land released for housing. It has proven itself as an upmarket area with a large diversity of houses, mostly which were built from the 1990’s until present. The houses and allotments vary from villas and courtyard blocks to full size allotments with large double storey homes. There are a range of views catered for ranging from the Southern Hills to the Pedlers Creek and all the way around to capture the Ocean.
Numerous parks and Reserves are located throughout and surrounding this beautiful suburb, many of which contain playgrounds for your children to explore. The tree lined walking trail winding from the parade to Augusta Drive gives you the option to leave your car at home and enjoy the walk to the shops, whilst the bike track will let you walk or ride as far as Noarlunga or McLaren Vale via the old train Line. The public transport system is on the rise, with the already frequent bus service and the future extension of the Noarlunga Train line.
The Seaford Rise Shopping Precinct caters to all your shopping needs with over 40 stores ranging from Woolworths, Foodland and Specialty food stores to Electronics, Fashion and Beauty Stores. As Far as night time entertainment and dine in meals go the Seaford Hotel is a very popular local choice. The area is spoilt for takeaway with a large number of cuisines scattered throughout.
Overall Seaford Rise is a quiet and friendly place to live, catering for all demographics ranging from large families and single couples to those looking to retire. "Perfect compromise"

We recently purchased a 16 year old home in Seaford Rise with a decent yard, Yes they still exist. We have found the area suprisingly quiet at night, no sirens, dogs or loud cars. The neighbours seem nice and are all very house proud which tells me they have respect for their homes. Walking distance to a fantastic beach but far enough away that the windows and gutters do no corrode. There is easy access to buses and the expressway is only 2 stoplights away, sorry make that 3 now. Great area for familys or couples, not sure about nightlife as we are now in our 40's. Local shopping is more than adequate and less than 10 min's to Collonades and Lonsdale cover's everything you could ever need. Traffic on Comercial road can be get heavy at rush hour but the long awaited rail extension will help ease this. The restraunts at Norlunga have seen us about once a week and Mclaren Vale is now just as close. 15 years ago we would not have went near Seaford Rise but Suburbs change and Seaford Rise has changed for the better. Good value for money

"Still a very safe environment to raise your kids!!"

The weather is great, the beach is close enough to go for quick swim, but far enough not to cause maintance issues with the home. Our neighbours are brilliant, always to watch your place when your away. Seaford needs to expand more but its getting there. My family love to visit up here too, wouldn't live anywhere else!!

Lots of parks/reserves generally green and neat and tidy. Close to schools, shops, transport and not far to the beach.
