"Tura Beach is a gem"

Tura Beach is one of the gems of the Sapphire Coast. Located about 3km north of Merimbula and a short drive from Tathra, Bega and Pambula, it is positioned to enjoy a variety of beaches and shopping centres. Tura Beach is primarily a residential area with a small shopping centre which includes Woolworths and Harvey Norman.

There are a mix of demographics ranging from young families to retirees. The Northern end of Tura Beach is the newer area which has the more modern and generally larger homes. The exclusive area of Tura Beach is around the Dolphin Cove and The Point areas, with houses often selling over the million dollar mark.

Tura Beach is home to a beautiful yet hilly golf course and Tura Beach Country Club which also has bowls and tennis facilities. The Beaches are beautiful but dangerous for swimming with no patrol beaches in this area. However beach fishing is very popular and Australian salmon and gummy sharks are often sought.

Tura Beach is a very quiet and relaxed location and crime is very low. It is a very safe location to raise a family and retirees can feel safe living there.

"Cosy little town that has a lot to offer"

We have owned 2 blocks of land in Tura for over 10 years. Unfortunately their is not a permanent Fire Station within 3 hours drive and therefore it would be hard for me to commute and live in Tura. We are in the process of developing homes on both blocks and hope to keep one for holiday purposes and possible holiday letting, however, the real estate agents in the area are very negative when it comes to the rental market and state that it is a low socio- demographic. They also promise a lot with very little delivery.
Pros
  • would be good if they develop the school site on Pacific Way
  • Good to see woolies supermarket and fuel move in however local business probably not as happy
  • Tavern is great, on the few times of been there food has been excellent
  • Lots of bush
  • Lovely Golf Course
  • Streets are well laid out, underground power
Cons
  • Does seem to be a lot of dole bludgers around which is a shame
  • Don't have any

"If this is heaven, then we have arrived!!"

Tura Beach is roughly a 5 minute drive north of Merimbula. Having bought our lovely park-like property several years ago, we have this year retired here. There is a lovely big new Woolworths containing specialty shops to cover all ones needs. We were told we would have trouble finding a doctor, but the medical centre here in Tura has been outstanding. The people are friendly and have made us feel most welcomed. We certainly have no regrets.
