John was born in Kingaroy, growing up on his parents dairy farm at Cooranga North (12 miles from the town of Bell) and at Fomartin (20 miles west of Dalby) on an 1100 acre grain farm.
Johns schooling was done at the one teacher school at Formartin, followed by the Dalby convent and Downlands College in Toowoomba.
In 1955 Johns parents drew a block of land at Clermont in Central Queensland, where John spent 47 years on the land. He successfully carried on the family farming business, also buying three more properties in Clermont.
He sold out in 2002 and came to Toowoomba where he and his son Myles turned their attention to the property market. They built spec houses, an investment duplex, and bought and sold house blocks.
Since retiring John has written two books, enjoys playing music and bush walks.
John joined Ray White Rural Toowoomba in 2011 to help his son Myles.
John enjoys dealing with people and always has a good yarn to tell!
From his past extensive rural experience he is able to help and support clients looking to buy or sell.
