About Me

Karen Arnold was studying for a Human Resources diploma when she fell into the real estate industry and began her pursuit of a career in property management. Since that fateful day, she has never looked back, slipping into the perfect career for her and her future.

With a constant dedication to help people achieve their real estate dreams, she strives for excellence in everyday. This is easy when you're as passionate about property management as Karen is, who loves to form relationships with landlords and tenants alike. These skills are the things that make her great at her job, with great people skills making property management almost like second nature.

This shines through in her spare time as well, when she volunteers with the 5th Brunswick Scout Group - an organisation she has been involved in since she was 8 years old. Seeing live music and stand-up comedy also has a special place in her heart, as well as playing her own guitar as a hobby.

It's the Brunswick culture that excites Karen. With the great food, friendly people, a whole variety of music, art, theatre, recreational parks and new developments being built all the time, the vibrancy of the region is enough to keep Karen coming back for more.

"Inner City Hum!"

Weston Street is one of Brunswicks best, stretching from Sydney Road, accross Lygon Street, and ending in Brunswick East.

The Sydney Road end is largely commercial, including Barkly Square shopping Centre, The Brunswick Hotel (The Brunny - excellent comedy and open mic nights - check them out if that's your thing!) Code Black Coffee, Bakeries and much more.

Some of Brunswicks most lovely period homes exist along Weston Street, between Lygon and Ewing Street, with only one brick apartment complex on this whole block - almost unheard of!

Across in Brunswick East, Weston Street includes the Tip Top development, the largest in Brunswick at the time of writing this post (bigger are planned). There is also a lovely small park, and Weston Street is also home to the 5th Brunswick Scout Hall.

This is a very busy area, thanks to the shopping, transport and restaurant options, so I wouldn't recommend anywhere in this block if you are after the quiet life, however if you want to experience inner city living at its finest, Weston Street is a fantastic option. Also includes NBN access, and some great dog parks are nearby.

It is rare that anything in this area struggles to lease, it is a solid and sound investment!

"Everything at your doorstep"

This stunningly located street can get a little busy, as many locals use it to bypass the Glenlyon Road/ Sydney Road intersection, however if a little through traffic does not bother you, it is the perfect location to enjoy everything Brunswick has to offer.

With Sydney Road Trams and the Jewell Station a short walk away, you also have Barkly Square shopping centre, restaurants and some of Brunswicks very best cafes at your disposal. I particularly love "Two Little Pigs" for brunch, or "Code Black" on Weston Street.

The apartments in this street are very spacious, and tend to fetch a high rent, the homes are a great mix of owner occupiers and long term tenants, so if you see a house come up for lease, snap it up quickly!!

"Inner City Dream"

Perfect Brunswick location, with some cracker apartment blocks. Sydney Rd is meters away, as well as Albion Street Train Station, so you have trains, trams and busses, as well as supermarkets, shops, cafes, bakeries, this is Brunswick at its best.

Never fail to lease homes in this area quickly.

"Bear Grylls Street"

Iconic Brunswick Street sign, with a Bear sticky taped to the pole, and thankfully captured by google street view for posterity, Grylls street is one of those Streets you only go on when you live there, meaning that its very quiet.

A short walk to Sydney Road trams and trains.

"Quiet and Convenient"

Even though its listed as a street, South Audley St has a dead end and is off Victoria Street, close to Lygon Street Trams.

Mostly homes, there is ROW access to some units also. Tram ride down Lygon Street to the CBD, very convenient.

"Inner City Hum with a small town feel"

I love living and working in Brunswick, there are always friendly faces, a great vibe, brilliant and interesting shops, and everything you could need is a walk, ride or tram away.

Mix of cultures and classes all coming together to create the wonderful community of Brunswick. I live and work in the suburb and would not be anywhere else in the world.

"Convenience is an understatement"

With the Eastern end of the street between Sydney Road and Lygon Street, Albert Street is super convenient, the street also includes a great Woolworths Supermarket West of Sydney Road, and some brilliant parks at the end. A mix of commercial and residential, great for that inner city feel.

We manage a lot of properties on this street, and find that both houses and apartments lease very quickly.

"Community Spirit"

One of the most vibrant communities in the inner north, Brunswick East manages to both hum along and stand still all at once. Lygon Street rivals its Carlton neighbor nowadays for excellent dining options, whilst some of the best brunches in Melbourne hide on every corner (especially Pope Joans on Nicholson Street).

Fantastic parks abound, dog owners particularly favour the spectacular Flemming and Balfe parks for off leash fun, and having access to Trams on both Nicholson (96) and Lygon(1,8) mean that you have easy access to and from the CBD, especially handy now 24 hour trams run on weekends.

Great community groups around also, with the 5th Brunswick Scout group on Weston Street always out and about, and the amazing CERES Community Environment park providing an amazing centre for the community.
