About Mark: Mark completed a Diploma in Financial Services, which led to a managerial position with The National Australia Bank. After 5 years with NAB, he then left Australia to take up a position with Bank Leumi in London. While Mark always put in 110%, he felt limited within the finance industry. He wanted the opportunity to assist and support his clients above and beyond their expectations, and take a more personalised approach. Fortunately for Ray White Blackburn, Mark’s passion for property & people eventually inspired him to pursue a career in real estate. My goal is to make sure everyone is happy, and that means being willing to accommodate for individual circumstances. In the case of working with a buyer from Malaysia, this meant organising building & pest inspections, helping arrange finance, and liasing with a third-party who was to bid at auction on the buyer’s behalf. The result? The buyer successfully purchased the property, site unseen.“ Mark is prepared to manage obstacles as they arise. On a 45°C day he’ll arrive at the auction with ice creams for the kids and cold drinks for the adults. Alternately, if it’s bucketing down he’ll go out of his way to arrange shelter. “We were auctioning a block of land – the drains were blocked and the whole street was flooded. I hired a massive umbrella and set it up over some tables and had the contracts there, ready. Only ten people turned up, but 7 of them were bidding. It was one of the best auctions I’ve ever attended, & it involved ten people huddled under a giant umbrella, being poured on!” Communication: Whatever your preferred method of communication – letters, emails, in person, phone calls or SMS – Mark will keep you informed throughout the marketing campaign. “Selling a home can be a daunting experience, and is sometimes precipitated by difficult circumstances such as a death in the family, or the end of a marriage.
