"A wonderful holiday feeling."

Toowoon Bay Road is quite long, running from the lake and ending up at the beach. It has a lovely little shopping village with the best pie and cake shop on the coast. Coast 89 and The Bay Café (both BYO) have the best atmosphere for small intimate dinners by candlelight. The beach is more like a bay and is wonderful for children, or those who like to swim or use their paddle boards. Toowoon Bay surf club serves great coffee while sitting in the sun basking up the glorious day.
Pros
  • You can be at the lake at one end and the beach at the other.
  • Has a real holiday feeling.
  • Fairly quiet road.
Cons
  • Sometimes parking can be difficult near the beach.
  • Limited parking around the shopping village.

"A street with a school."

Brooke Avenue is a long street running from Wyong Road to Eastern Road, it is a well maintained road but sometimes can carry a lot of traffic. It has a primary school, which has a wonderful reputation. It is close to shops, public transport and approximately5 minutes to Shelly Beach, a patrolled beach with plenty of parking and an outdoor café.
Pros
  • Is very close to the Killarney Vale shoppping village.
  • Is close to a reserve with a small water section which has bird life.
Cons
  • Can be quite heavy with traffic at certain times.
  • Can be noisy from the traffic.
  • Has several speed humps for the school area.

"A little piece of paradise."

Curtis Parade is one of the best streets on the Central Coast, the neighbours are all friendly. The beach is located only metres away depending on which side of the street you are staying. It is a dead end street. The fishing at the beach is awesome as there is a deep gully. It is far enough away from the main road to be safe. You need to be water confident as the beach can sometimes be very rough.
Pros
  • Very close to the beach.
  • Nice and quiet, yet close enough to The Entrance.
  • Nice community spirit amongst the neighbours.
Cons
  • There are no life guards on patrol.
  • The southernlys are very strong and sand covers the road.
  • Sometimes there is no parking available.

Pros
  • Nice quiet street.
  • Good community spirit.
  • 5 minutes drive from Shelly Beach.
