Best winery in Victoria?

I went to Witchmount winery on the weekend, which has the world's best shiraz according to a French wine competition. What's your favourite Victorian winery?

I haven't been to many wineries in my time, but i have really good memories of Seville Estate. I went there a few years ago in the Yarra Valley. It's a smaller winery, but i kinda liked the old school country feel to it.

I'd be more interested to know if anyone has been to any BAD wineries. I would think it to be highly competitive and most wineries would be scrambling to bring in the customers...hence the grap grazing tours that have taken off in the past couple of years.

Went to De Bortoli and had a nice meal at their restaurant, great views also.

Ive recently discovered Boat O'Craigo, an amazing wine recommended to me at my local bottle shop. Fantastic whites. Give them a try.

Yes, the restaurant at De Bortoli is excellent. I also like Sticks in the Yarra Valley and Ten Minutes by Tractor at Mornington.

There are heaps of wineries on the Mornington Pensinsula you can visit and try (many with restaurants). Dromana Estate, Red Hill Estate, Port Philip Estate, Box Stallion. I love all of their whites.

Take a look at this website for more information

I loved Montalto! It's more than just wine, you get to wander through their garden that's filled with huge amazing sculptures with wine in hand. Loved it.

I'm a big fan of Mornington Peninsula wineries, some of my faves include-

Point Leo Estate- They have an amazing restaurant and an incredible sculpture park overlooking the ocean.

Green Olive at Red Hill- A 27-acre farm, Green Olive has a relaxed vibe serving up delicious all-day tapas & a shop with lots of onsite made goodies. They also run a bunch of pasta, pizza & sausage making cooking classes. Make sure you book if you plan to go for lunch on the weekend as it tends to get busy.

Montalto in Red Hill- Great for outdoor dining in their piazza with veggie garden & vineyard views. Yummy tapas-style nibbles & pizza. They also have a small sculpture park for an afternoon stroll.
