It is often perceived that because there are houses in West Beach, they are sadly affected by the airport noise, particularly take off and landings. The perception may affect the view of some, but should not. The majority of properties in West Beach, are not located under major flight paths. The flight path for the main runway projects from the South West to the North East. missing Property in West Beach altogether. The smaller cross runway however will affect property to the Northern end of West Beach. Generally this is used by smaller aircraft except when weather conditions (usually more severe wind from the North West) force the use of this for jet aircraft - this would only occur around 5 or 6 times a year. More most part, West Beach is more quiet and peaceful than surrounding locations
