Is the cost of living high in West Beach?

No, renting a flat is cheaper than the Adelaide average. Houses can also be found at a decent rental price, but away from the beach. Groceries/petrol etc are the same as anywhere else. There are some cheap eateries in the western suburbs, too, as the suburbs further inland tend to be lower socio-economic. It's a good place to live.

No but like any area it depends on what you are after. There are plenty of affordable houses around. There are also fantastic properties right near the beach.
