Bywater Park (on Bywater) has had the playground rejuvenated recently and includes shade sails. The small oval is OK this time of year but dries out in summer as this park is still watered via the scheme water so is restricted to normal watering day rules, although, the City of Canning did drill some exploration bores last summer to hopefully convert the park to bore water. Traffic is not an issue as it is off the beaten track and there are paths for pram access and a gazebo. There is a drink fountain and it is dog friendly with a dog poo bin located well away from the playground.

The foreshore, at LoQuay Cafe, Wilson side of Riverton Bridge is also very good with a semi fenced playground and excellent public toilets. The City of Canning always seems to mow the grass on Fridays, just in time for the weekend crowds. Parking can be a bit of a problem as it's busy most of the weekend. Weekdays are better for parking and a quieter coffee. New stainless steel barbecues and a gazebo too, with an excellent view of the bridges.
