"An real gem JUST outside Sydney"

Windsor is an historic flood free town established by Governor Macquarie because of its proximity to rich alluvial soil plains to grow food for the colony. It is surrounded by flood prone land and this stops urban encroachment and helps preserve the historic character of this beautiful town. Windsor is set right on the magnificent Hawkesbury River - home of various annual festivals including the Red Bull Cliff Diving, International Sand Modelling competition, Sydney Blues Festival, Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Race and various boat races, not to mention the last of Sydney’s live band scene every week and a host of unique and interesting shops, cafes and restaurants and a genuine Sunday craft market and the Sebel Resort and Villa Thalgo – Sydney’s leading day spa. Only 10 minutes to the Rouse Hill Town Centre - Australia's most modern mega shopping village, Windsor has excellent parks and walks and recreational facilities, great access and no parking problems and other congestion issues often associated with Sydney. We love it!

"A Small town - where everybody says Hi."

Historical town along the Hawkesbury River in which to bring up a family in almost perfect conditions. Plenty to do on weekends. Surrounded by picturesque far, lands and mountain views.

"An up and coming neighbourhood! Lots to love!"

Windsor is a small historical town, on the outskirts of Sydney. It's far enough from the city to have a friendly safe feel, but it's still on the train line for easy access. Recently there has been a bypass / flood route built, a new cycle route, the completion of dual carriageway all the way to Windsor, a new museum, the new Windsor Riverview shopping centre (anchored by Coles), and the new Windsor Town Centre Shopping Centre (anchored by Woolworths). The main pedestrian area is great for little individual shops, and of course is where the Sunday Markets are held - these are extremely popular! In the last month there was also the Jazz Festival. Lots of new restaurants and eateries are opening, and it just seems to be really a newly developing, revitalised, and up & coming area.

"End of the train line"

Windsor lies on the north western side of Sydney. It is the end of the train line and is a beautiful suburb with lots of tree lined streets. There is an army base here along with plenty of pubs and bars with decent entertainment on weekends. There does seem to be a lot of youths hanging about on the weekends so just watch out when you are around the station or driving that you do not run into a shopping trolley lying in the middle of the road. There are also plenty of nice restaurants in the area that gives excellent relief to having to go to the city for fine dining. The restaurants all claim to use local produce and the chefs are put a lot of heart into their cooking to produce some great food.

Andrew Mansour Train line actually continues through to Richmond, and Windsor itself does not have an army base, however there is a raaf base in the next town being Clarendon . The raaf base is known as Raaf Richmnd.
