"Its a really small town"

Last review definitely written by the police. Not everyone will be in agreement with some of those comments. Dont expect to see them or be able to go to the police station and it be open. If youve ever wanted to try to be in local or state government, be a real police officer or be a tourist guide just sit out the front of the police station with a desk on a Saturday or Sunday, as a matter of fact if you dont have a desk just stand there and you’ll probably be bound to be asked lots of questions from all the wyangala dam tourists and caravan people that like to turn up and noones there; not to mention decent locals looking for proper assistance as well. Everyone has an opinion here! Whether its worth listening to well that's a completely different story. Its mandatory that you try and remind people of things in this town. This is the ... what are they doing town? quick follow them round, tell everyone... Where have they gone??.. That's right some people drive off to get away from you. You have to pretend that you know all about everyone elses life too or you wont fit in. When you move in make sure everything is secured as it will most likely be gone through. Privacy whats privacy? The young teens and adults also like to think they know what they are talking about when they have no real life experience. Just think like a jealous child with the foot stomps of why? I want to know! Of course 90% is usually made up and people trying to say they know people when they don't.
Buy your child a tennis set and come back home and suddenly it looks old and broken? Why would that be?
Navman in your car and then gone? Why would that be?
Identity documents stolen, I guess they don't even want to be themselves they know they are that awful so they have to try and steal mine.
Documents in your house taken and changed? Why would that be?
Damage to vehicles, windows, car badges taken? Why would that be?
Damage to lawn mowing equipment? Why would that be?
Childs bike, broken? Why would that be?
Lots of Missing Mail? Why would that be?
Trespassing? Why would that be?
Clothing stolen? Why would that be?
Leave your sunglasses at the pub.. don't expect them back.
If you have had your home broken into in Woodstock check your pill bottles no matter what you take or how often or if you keep them up the back of a cupboard for emergency or as needed purposes and make sure they are the correct pills in the bottles, especially if you are a woman. If you are unsure check with a pharmacist whom you trust.
Don't expect me to write good things. Welcome to Woodstock where no you're not welcome to take, damage or do anything else to my property. No permission. To every decent person who is trying to find employment, has employment, keeps to themselves, doesn't have a social warrior child or adolescent running around being nosey and looks after their own things and wants to keep them nice and who doesn't touch anyone elses things just keep reporting and best wishes to you. To the rest, you know who you are, it's time to grow up, mind your own business (personally and otherwise) and stop trying to harass and annoy women because you are bored and a bully. By the way there is two Tracey's of similar name in this area and we are not connected although it appears that some people may have tried to do that and if these other issues above are happening and are a problem from an ex-husband and his dealings with people or because of who I have been employed by previously and the way they ran their business then go and see them. You're types aren't welcome around me. By the way for the brats that think I worked for FACS or DOCS you've got the wrong person but yes I will report cruelty to children, it's called being a grown up; don't carry on nastiness at me; stop with your childish retaliation. Also don't expect me to be welcoming after all these events or to want to be friendly and chatting to any of you after 5 years of this and yes reported to police but they cant just walk in a persons home either. There is one particular house that is known from other local areas to cause most of the problems and they have had many of their friends rent the property to try and annoy other neighbours. They make noise all day purposely and often or not you can hear them outside whining in typical teenage fashion, highpitched whiny voices of which, the neighbours are used to from all the other ones of their friends that have done the same thing whilst living there. To the most likely old weirdo with the fake lyrebird noise go away and take your fake noise with you. It is so old. I hope you are fined thousands by the council for disturbing the peace. If you want to be cuckoo coo like your fake noise go and live in the Blue Mountains with the Greenies and hug PETA.

"Small village near Cowra"

We have a bowling club, a pub, a primary school, an oval, a police station with resident officers (lovely people) a small provisions shop, a community hall, a very good butcher, churches (the catholic church holds mass twice a month), lovely parks with play equipment, a swimming pool, a B+B, and a post office where the locals pick up thier post daily. (forgive me if I forget to mention all the details)
It's a beautiful place to live if you have work in neighbouring towns, but wouldn't recomend making the move here if you haven't got credentials for local industry. Do check the Australia Job Search site for local jobs in your industry.
Other than the beautiful parks, there aren't many things for older kids to do, but the roads are pretty safe if they enjoy bike riding.
Being a rural town, you need to be careful of wildlife on the roads at night, and some people keeping farm animals in their yards. Some of them and sometimes dogs, have been known to get out. Allso the kids here tend to be pretty out doorsy, so a good idea to keep an eye out for kids on the streets riding their bikes or playing.
  • Peaceful
  • Beautiful surrounds
  • Friendly people
  • very limited shopping
  • Long distance to childcare, High Schools, and some recreation orginisations.
  • Tends to have problems with some utilities.
